I travel with Amazon’s £40 Fire TV Stick on sale for £24 this Prime Day – here’s why it’s worth it
I spotted this Fire TV Stick HD deal in the Amazon Prime Day sale, and it’s a hidden gem for travel.
Now £23.99, down from £39.99, it’s one of my favourite travel gadgets and well worth packing for your next trip.

Amazon’s knocked down prices across its Fire streaming devices for Prime Day, but one deal caught my eye.
The Fire TV Stick HD, now down to just £23.99, is a compact little gadget that’s handy when you’re travelling.
I’ve used one at home for years as my go-to for streaming, but I was surprised by how useful it is on the go.
It’s tiny, lightweight, and fits easily in your bag and is perfect for hotel TVs or plugging in at a friend’s place.
As long as there’s Wi-Fi and an HDMI port, you’ve got Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, YouTube, whatever you fancy, ready to stream.
The interface is super easy to use, and the remote has voice control, something I’m always using to jump between apps without any faff.
The picture quality holds up really well, too, supporting Full HD up to 1080p.
So long as it’s paired with decent Wi-Fi, it honestly feels just like watching at home.

Another bonus is that it’s Alexa-enabled, so I can check the weather or fire off random questions straight from the remote.
Storage-wise, it handles all the big apps I use, and I haven’t found the need to sideload any extras, though the functionality is there.
And if you’re wondering, it’s totally fine to fly with.
Since it doesn’t have lithium batteries, you can toss it in either your carry-on or checked bag.
I usually keep mine in my hand luggage; there’s less chance of damage, plus it’s easy to grab if security wants to take a quick look.
I’m clearly not the only one who loves it either, the Fire TV Stick HD is one of Amazon’s best-sellers, with a solid 4.6-star rating from thousands of reviews.
